🔬 The Science Behind the Score

Not Just a Percentage.
A Real Passing Prediction.

Most NCLEX prep apps show you a percentage correct. That's not how the real NCLEX works. NCLEXSim uses the same 3-Parameter Logistic IRT model as NCSBN — the same algorithm that determines pass/fail on the real exam.

Your Readiness Score is derived from your theta (θ) ability estimate — a statistical measure of your true nursing knowledge, adjusted for question difficulty. A score above 67/100 indicates you're performing at or above the NCSBN passing standard.
